We are situated in the west coast of Norway, near by the famous city of Aalesund. We are close to the best fishing grounds in the North Sea, and to the Atlantic Ocean. This area of Norway have long-lasting traditions in the fish industry. The county of Herøy is the leading county in Norway, regarding catch of fish, productions and export.

Njardar, a distinguished company under the umbrella of the family-owned business Knut Nærø Sild og Fiskeforretning, stands as a testament to the rich fishing traditions along the west coast of Norway. Rooted in a legacy that spans four generations, the holding company, Knut Nærø Sild og Fiskeforretning, was established in 1901. It initially embarked on its journey by producing cod liver oil and klippfish, showcasing an early commitment to the fisheries industry.
